Citizens Advice Redbridge provide information, advice, signposting and referral services to clients. 

The support we provide is free, confidential, independent and impartial. We give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem. We offer information and advice on a range of issues including welfare benefits, employment law, housing, debt, family law and consumer issues.

Activities:

• Telephone and email based advice and information
• face to face advice services at a range of locations across the borough
• Redbridge Food Bank Project

Events:

Citizens Advice Redbridge is running Advice First Aid training. This is free training for volunteers and workers in community groups, grassroots organisations and faith groups. 

When: 9th July 2024, 09:45AM - 4.15PM

Where: Central Library, Ilford, IG1 1EA

The course is:

• Free training to help you support people with benefits, housing, debt and cost of living problems  

• Introductory level training for staff and volunteers in community organisations and faith groups  

• Delivered by Citizens Advice

The training is not suitable for advisors and is aimed at people with little or no knowledge of the subject

By the end of the training you will know how to 

• Spot advice issues and ask the right questions  

• Find trusted sources of information and support  

• Take steps to help people experiencing hardship and signpost or refer for advice 

After the training you will be able to access other free online training about issues such as housing, benefits and cost of living help.
