BHR Health and Care Academy Launch

This month saw the launch of the Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge (BHR) Health and Care Academy. It aims to offer "rewarding" careers for residents in the three boroughs.

The BHR (Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge) Health and Care Academy will seek to; promote education, learning and training; improve recruitment and retention; and build human resources management and leadership capability and capacity.  As an Anchor organisation we aim to ‘grow our own’ workforce, offering careers for young people which improve health and wellbeing outcomes.

The Health and Social Care Academy will build on and align the significant number of workforce initiatives already underway across the system, bringing them together, identifying and addressing key gaps, and working with the BHR Transformation Boards and Borough Partnerships to drive the workforce initiatives required to deliver their transformation programmes.

A launch was held on Microsoft Teams on September 23
