Health awareness sessions on Tuberculosis, HIV, and Covid

The Health Promotion Programs team at RedbridgeCVS is offering free health awareness sessions and training for Redbridge residents, community groups, and organisations.

1. Free Health Awareness sessions

Redbridge CVS is offering free Health Awareness sessions on HIV and TB to organisations, community groups and individuals. These can take place online or face to face and is delivered by our trained Health Buddies who speak various languages.

2. HIV Training for professionals

It's thought that around 106,200 people are living with HIV. With HIV now being a manageable long-term health condition, we have the tools and resources to prevent the onward transmission of HIV. However, around 5% of those are unaware of their HIV status.

This training session will give you the up to date knowledge to talk openly and confidently about HIV.

We'll cover:

  • What HIV is and how it affects people in East London
  • The various options for testing and preventing HIV
  • Addressing HIV stigma and fear
  • Developments in treatment and healthcare for people living with HIV

Please note that this training session is for people working in, or supporting clients that live, work, study or play in East London. This includes frontline workers, volunteers and sessional workers We can also tailor our training sessions to meet your needs.
