Redbridge’s Public Health and Wellbeing Board are developing a new strategy to help ensure that residents of Redbridge are able to lead a healthy and fulfilling life.

Redbridge’s Public Health and Wellbeing Board are developing a new strategy to help ensure that residents of Redbridge are able to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. Below is a bit more information and a link to consultation questions, so you can have your say in shaping the strategy.

Health and wellbeing is important to everyone in Redbridge and is about much more than just illnesses or diseases. It is about people living in Redbridge being able to lead fulfilling lives in relation to their physical, mental and social wellbeing.

The introduction of the Health and Social Care Act 2012 placed a statutory duty on Health and Wellbeing Boards to produce a joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy for their local area. The draft Health and Wellbeing Strategy for Redbridge sets out new ambitions for improving the health and wellbeing of our residents over the next four years, 2017-2021.

Yesterday, the Public Health & Wellbeing Board entered into a 12 week consultation period inviting residents, partners, voluntary and community sector organisations and all those who work in Redbridge including Councillors and local MPs to have their say on the proposed vision and ambitions. Feedback from this consultation will help to develop the final strategy, ensuring it meets the needs of the people of Redbridge.
