Redbridge Carers Support Service (£30,599 FTE, 6 month FTC, 30 hours per week)

Redbridge Carers Support Service is a leading carers organisation offering a range of innovative, holistic services to carers. We are currently recruiting for Young Adult Carers Project Manager who will join our team to manage the delivery of the project and promote positive outcomes for young adult carers aged 16-30.

This role is offered as a six-month fixed term contract.

This is an interesting and varied role which includes both project management and frontline support work. The post holder will be responsible for: 

  • Identifying and supporting unpaid young adult carers from the diverse communities in Redbridge through the provision of information, advice, guidance and signposting.
  • Raising awareness of the needs, aspirations and goals of young adult carers aged 16 to 30.
  • Working with a range of partner agencies, such as Barnardos Young Carers Project, social care, education and health services, to develop robust communication and engagement strategies and practical action plans, leading to new and improved pathways to care and support.
  • Line managing the Young Adult Carers Support Worker and relevant sessional workers and volunteers.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification and have proven experience of supporting vulnerable young adults. They will be able to forge effective working relationships with relevant professionals, agencies and community leaders and promote services through a variety of media. The successful candidate will be able to engage vulnerable young adults who may have experienced isolation and exclusion. They will have knowledge and experience of facilitating groups and co-producing services and projects with a diverse group of participants. They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with both staff and carers.

Salary: £30,599 p.a. FTE, £26,228 pro rata for 30 hours p.w.
