Volunteering Officer

Salary: £25,000 per annum pro-rata (£15,000 actual)  

Full/Part Time: Part Time

Hours: 21 hrs per week

RedbridgeCVS is the local umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Redbridge. We are a small, friendly team based in central Ilford - just 20 minutes by train from Liverpool Street station. Every year we support over 350 local voluntary and community groups, helping them to flourish and make a difference in their communities.

Our Volunteer Centre works to create and promote an environment where volunteering can thrive, and where everyone can play an active role in their communities. We are looking for someone with a passion for volunteering and great organisational skills to join our Volunteer Centre Team.

As Volunteering Officer, you will be supporting people into volunteering, helping them to find meaningful volunteering opportunities and achieve their volunteering goals. You will also support volunteer-involving organisations by promoting and encouraging good practice, and helping them to reach and recruit new volunteers.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with volunteers and understand just how life changing volunteering can be. You will also bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and build great relationships with both volunteers and the organisations that host them.
