BHRUT Appointment Reminders: Everything You Need to Know About the "New Look"
Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) has officially transitioned to a new digital system via the DrDoctor platform. This change is designed to make it easier for you to manage your care, reducing the risk of lost post and making the process more environmentally friendly.
Messages that come from the number +44 7860 039092 and include a secure DrDoctor web link where you can view details of your appointment.
When you open the link, you will be asked to confirm a few details. This is to make sure that they are showing the right information to the right person, and it is completely safe.
Please don’t ignore these messages – they are genuine reminders from the NHS team, working in partnership with DrDoctor.
What if I prefer paper letters?
If you aren't comfortable using a smartphone or simply prefer a physical letter, you can still receive one. If you do not click the digital link within three days of receiving the text, the Trust will automatically post a paper letter to your home address. You can also log into the portal at any time to update your preferences to "paper only."
Our View
We welcome improvements that make the NHS more efficient, but our "Golden Thread" remains focused on accessibility. We encourage patients to try the new system, but please let us know if you experience any barriers or "digital hurdles". Your feedback helps us ensure the system works for everyone in Redbridge.
