We are now able to offer free presentations and workshops to community groups and organisations, and can tailor these to suit your needs.

“Redbridge Talking Therapies (NHS) is a free service for anyone aged 18+ who is registered with a doctor in Redbridge and is struggling with common issues such as stress, low mood, anxiety, OCD, PTSD amongst others. We offer individual as well as group treatments covering a variety of topics including stress management, low self esteem, anxiety, Post Traumatic stress disorder, a low mood group for Muslim women, a ‘baby and me’ group for new Mums and many more.

Before the pandemic our service did lots of outreach in the community to help people learn about our service, how to access it, and learn how to look after their mental health. Unfortunately because of covid 19 we’ve been unable to do outreach the last couple of years, but are now fortunately in a position to be able to offer this again.

If you’d be interested in having a free workshop or presentation delivered at your organisation please contact Steph Smith, Community marketing and engagement officer – / 07710919965

After a tough few years due to the pandemic, Redbridge Talking Therapies (NHS) is delighted to be able to offer more outreach opportunities to help local communities to access our service. We successfully delivered our first webinar of 2022 during mental health awareness week, which this year had a focus on loneliness. We had very positive feedback from those that attended and had 25 sign ups. We have also started working with the Disabled Asian Women’s network (DAWN) and have delivered 2 workshops with plans to continue working with them.

Online webinar: ‘Anxiety and Low Mood in African and Caribbean Communities’

Our next open event is a webinar in partnership with The Redbridge African Caribbean Communities (TARACC) on ‘Anxiety and Low Mood in African and Caribbean Communities’. This is open to anyone aged over 18, and is most relevant to anyone living in Redbridge borough. The webinar will take place via zoom on Tuesday 19th July 7-8.15pm and will be delivered by 2 of our cognitive psychotherapists - Molly Lawrence-Adekola & Nicola Tenyue. The webinar will cover the impact of cultural beliefs on our wellbeing, what low mood and anxiety are and how they are maintained, as well as strategies for managing your emotions and thoughts to live a meaningful life. It will also cover how to access free help and support. Anyone wishing to attend can sign up via Eventbrite at

We’re keen to work with more local organisations, particularly those working with harder to reach groups (e.g. LGBTQI+, older people, ethnic minorities, people living with disabilities and young people) and are able to deliver free workshops, courses and webinars cover a variety of mental health topics.
