Rainbow health and care: Focus on asexuality with Yasmin Benoit

Redbridge Rainbow are hosting a series of online sessions for health and care professionals exploring some specific issues or groups within the LGBTQ+ community.

For this session, acclaimed researcher and activist Yasmin Benoit will be the guest speaker. The session will include a conversation between Yasmin and Simon Shaw from Redbridge Rainbow, followed by a chance for attendees to ask their own questions.

LGBTQ+ Experiences of Health and Care Services in Redbridge

Last year, supported by the Healthwatch Redbridge Community Cash Fund, Redbridge Rainbow explored the local perspectives of LGBTQ+ individuals in accessing health and social care.

Issues highlighted by the research included hesitations to share LGBTQ+ identities, assumptions and misconceptions, variation in levels of training and specific gaps in services for LGBTQ+ people.
