£1,000 Grants offered for local people's views

Healthwatch Redbridge has launched an exciting new project called Community Cash Fund, which will be paid to individuals, small groups and organisations that help gather people’s views on health and social care services in Redbridge.

To qualify for the funds, projects will need to collect views in the areas of health or social care that addresses at least one of Healthwatch Redbridge’s priorities. They are:

• Ensuring people have access to the right health and care services they need to stay well
• Ensuring that health and social care organisations comply with accessible information standards.
• Supporting people using health and social care services to have a voice
• Accessing appropriate local mental health services

Cathy Turland, Healthwatch Redbridge Chief Executive Officer said:

“We hope that this fund will help to encourage individuals and organisations to gather people’s views so that we get a richer and deeper understanding of local people’s views and experiences of health and social care. By working with individuals and community groups in this way we hope to hear from communities that we rarely hear from."

Interested groups will need to complete an application form that includes a short description of how they would carry out their project. Funding will be made available until February 2018.

The application form can be found below
