Head of Business Development and Fundraising

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Home working/ London

The post-holder will ensure sustainable income generation for The Advocacy Project in line with the strategic plan. This role is responsible for identifying, qualifying, bidding/tendering, negotiating and closing opportunities, while making sure any resulting contracts are financially sound and are operationally and contractually deliverable.

 

Head of Service Delivery

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Home working/ London
Closing date: midday, 31 January

This role is accountable for the quality of all our advocacy services and our user involvement projects, making sure we can evidence the value of our work and show improved outcomes for service users. The post-holder leads on safeguarding for the organisation.

 

Independent Advocate (short-term assignment)

Hours: Full time / part time
Location: Inner London

The post-holder will provide independent advocacy in various settings, including in the community, people’s homes, and hospital settings including mental health wards. You’ll raise awareness of advocacy, including for people from minority ethnic communities.

Independent Advocate

The post-holder will provide independent advocacy in various settings, including in the community, people’s homes, and hospital settings including mental health wards. You’ll raise awareness of advocacy, including for people from minority ethnic communities. We work in the London boroughs of Hackney, Westminster, RBKC, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and in Broadmoor Hospital, Berkshire. Independent Mental Health Advocate (Forensic)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Broadmoor Hospital, Berkshire

We’re searching for an exceptional Independent Mental Health Advocate (Forensic) to work in the high secure units at Broadmoor Hospital. The role will have a strong appeal to advocates wishing to specialise in forensic contexts.

 

Independent Advocate (West London)

Hours: Full time
Location: West London
Closing date: midday, 14 January

The post-holder will provide independent advocacy in various settings, including in the community, people’s homes, and hospital settings including mental health wards. You’ll raise awareness of advocacy, including for people from minority ethnic communities. You’ll work as part of a team of independent advocates, reporting to the senior advocate.

 

Advocacy Administrator (Broadmoor)

Hours: 20 hours per week over 5 days
Location: Broadmoor Hospital, Berkshire

We’re searching for an exceptional administrator to work in the high secure units at Broadmoor Hospital. You’ll support our referral telephone line, take referrals, assess basic eligibility, record details on the case management system and undertake general office duties. You will be organised and efficient in your approach to working; personable and professional in your interactions with people.

 

Independent Advocate (Ealing Forensic)

Hours: 26.25 hours per week
Location: Ealing (St Bernard’s Hospital)

We’re searching for an exceptional Independent Advocate to work in the medium and low secure forensic units at St Bernard’s Hospital in Ealing. You may also be required to work at other sites in West London including Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.

The role will have a strong appeal to advocates wishing to specialise in forensic contexts. This role will provide independent advocacy for adults detained under forensic sections.

 

User Involvement Project Worker

Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location: Westminster, London (staff are currently home based)

We are searching for an exceptional User Involvement Project Worker to join our dynamic and innovative user involvement team that currently provides services to a range of care groups across five London boroughs (Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Hackney, Camden, and Brent).

 

Senior PHB Advisor

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Hackney and home working
Closing date: midday, 14 January

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the PHB service. The postholder will act as the point of contact for complex queries, allocate referrals, provide line management support to the PHB advisors and carry a case load of PHB referrals. You will work closely with the PHB manager and team to identify areas for development and explore further PHB opportunities. This role will require an enhanced DBS check.

 

Personal Health Budgets Advisor (Children & Young People)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location: Tower Hamlets and home working
Closing date: midday, 14 January

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a PHB service aimed at supporting children and young people (CYPs) with neurodisabilities, who are out of education and receiving an intervention from Tower Hamlets CAMHS. The post-holder will work alongside clinicians to support children and young people to plan and access their PHB to support their wellbeing goals as well as act as the point of contact for queries and deliver training. You will work closely with the PHB team to identify areas for development for the service. This role will require an enhanced DBS check.

 

Service User Trustee

Hours: Part time
Location: Home working/ London
Closing date: midday, 31 January

As a service user trustee, you will have lived experience of a mental health issue or a learning disability. You will have used mental health or learning disability services – either ours, or similar services run by other organisations. You need to have an understanding of advocacy and a passion for helping The Advocacy
Project be the best it can be – but you don’t need to have previous experience of charity governance.
