Congratulations to volunteer, Isaac Harvey: featured on BBC's One Show

On Thurs 3 March one of our volunteers, Isaac Harvey, was featured on the BBC One Show.

Isaac had been nominated for ‘One Big Thank You’ by friends, family members, and members of Wheels and Wheelchairs of which he is the president. Wheels and Wheelchairs bring together wheelchair users with roller skaters. Isaac uses his film editing skills to create videos of the sessions and posts them on social media.

Isaac’s mother, Isabel (who also volunteers for Healthwatch Redbridge) was also on the show, celebrating some of Isaac’s achievements and his love for life. Isaac, who  was born with limb pelvic hypoplasia (which means he has no hands and short legs) is a fundraiser, mentor, charity ambassador and an award-winning film maker.

In this One Show production, Isaac was told that the One Show would like him to make a short film about disabled athletes but little did he know, the person he was meant to be interviewing, Stef Reid (Team GB Paralympic long-jumper and five-time record-holder) was sent to interview him.

Isaac’s interview starts at about 13:45 minutes into the show
