Healthwatch Redbridge's Community Network Fair a great success

On 10th October, we held our second Healthwatch Redbridge Community Network Fair. The Fair was held at Redbridge Institute who provided the venue and supported our event. The Fair was a great success with over 220 people participating.

Our Healthwatch Redbridge Community Network is comprised of local groups and charities who want to support Redbridge residents to get the best healthcare and wellbeing for their communities. We currently have 39 members.

We want to thank all of the organisations who attended: Age UK Redbridge, Barking and Havering, Black Woman Kindness Initiative, Citizens Advice Redbridge, Ilford and District Diabetes UK Group, Ilford High Road Baptist Church, Jewish Care, One Place East, Positive East, Nelft Patient Experience Team, Redbridge CVS, Saint Francis Hospice, Sensory Specialists Ltd, TARACC, VIA and Whipps Cross Hospital Community Forum.

We also want to thank our Healthwatch Redbridge volunteers for all of their help and support with the Fair and Redbridge Institute for supporting our event.

Many of our Healthwatch Redbridge Community Network members ran stalls providing support, information and advice to members of the public. It was nice to see so many faces, including many new ones. Everybody was engaged and interested in what was on offer, whether that be, stallholders or attendees.

One of our stall holders told us, "It was amazing to see so many organisations working together for betterment of the public, it was a place where someone can truly feel the holistic approach of services towards them."

We are planning to run a Healthwatch Redbridge Community Network Fair next year. Please email if you would like to have a stall or read more if want to find out more about the Healthwatch Redbridge Community Network, including how to become a member and our small grants fund, the Community Cash Fund.
