World Suicide Prevention Day

In the run up to World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September, the Public Health Team, Redbridge, are encouraging everyone to take 20 minutes out of their day to complete the online Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA) Suicide Awareness Training.

Every suicide is a tragic loss that affects families and communities and has lasting effects on the people who cared about them. Sadly, in Redbridge, 356 lives were lost to suicide between 2001 – 2021.

The ZSA training will help you to gain the skills and confidence to help someone who may be considering suicide. At the end of the training, you will be equipped to:

1. Spot suicide warning signs

2. Have a conversation with someone you are worried about

3. Know where to signpost to for further support
