    The Accessible Information Standard (AIS) is a mandatory and statutory requirement that applies to all providers of NHS and publicly-funded adult social care services and came into force on 31 July 2016 .
    It is underpinned by the Equalities Act

    Visits were conducted across 3 hospital departments (Audiology, Eye Clinic, and the Urgent Treatment Centre/Emergency Department), and one ward (Amber A). The aim was to identify how Queen’s Hospital were meeting the (AIS) standard

    The government published a Women’s Health Strategy in 2022. One of the strategies commitments is to examine the effectiveness of a national campaign to encourage more women to take up cervical screening tests.
